Lillian Palmer – Soprano

Lillian is the leader and founder of Party of 4. Her love for vocal harmony inspired her to organize the group in the mid 1990. She has assembled an impressive group of singers whose individual talents make Party of 4 San Diego’s number one vocal harmony performance quartet and a lot of fun to work with!

Lillian as a soloist and actress, has performed on the stages of the Old Globe and Cassius Carter Theatre. As well as the Lawrence Welk Resort Theatre, Civic Theatre and the Horton Grand to name a few. A member of Actors Equity Association and AFTRA.

Kim Miller

Kim has been singing with Lillian Palmer since 1998. She loves singing the complex alto lines of Party of 4’s distinctive harmonies, and helping keep the great jazz standards alive. As an actor and director, Kim received her degree in Theatre from UCSD, and trained at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Credits include the Asian American Rep, Lamb's Players Theatre, and San Diego Repertory Theatre, as well as work in commercials, voiceovers, television and film.

Michael Ruhl - Tenor

Born in St. Louis Missouri, Michael Ruhl attended the William Jewell College where he received his degree in vocal performance. Moving to Southern California Michael appeared regularly at the world-famous Hotel Del Coronado’s Crown Room. He has traveled the world as a featured vocalist with Holland-American Cruise Lines. Michael has performed at the American Cinema Awards honoring Kirk Douglas and Sophia Loren, and has performed with such stars has Andy Williams, Burt Convy, and toured in the pre-Broadway production of Man of La Mancha with Sheena Easton and Raul Julia.
Other local credits include the Welk Resort Theatre, Starlight Musical Theatre.

Michael continues to perform year round with the swing band Variations, the big band Coastal Cities Jazz Band and with the seventy-piece Coastal Communities Concert Band, with whom he appeared as a guest artist in Europe. In addition Michael performs with his own The City Rhythm Band, which is featured on his debut CD Here’s to Life, celebrating the great jazz standards. This CD is available at

Leonard Patton - Bass

From his elementary school days where he use to test the acoustics singing in the hallways, to his college choir days Leonard Patton was born to sing. He attended the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston, Cal State San Marcos and is pursuing a graduate degree at SDSU as the first ever-jazz vocal major.

From Marley and Metheny to Sting and Stevie, Leonard’s rich smoky voice and unique style has gained him entrance to perform with some of jazz’s most notable artists such as, Peter Sprague, Mike Wofford, Holly Hoffman, Bob Magnusson and countless others.

Leonard is excited to announce his debut CD released in June 2008. Singin’, stylin’ and sattin’ into the hearts of music lovers everywhere.

Paula Steiger

Paula Steiger – Alto, Soprano (swing)

Paula Steiger is a graduate of the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NYC and the University of San Diego. Credits include The Welk Resort Theater, San Diego Civic Light Opera, Starlight Musical Theatre and CCT. Since the age of ten Paula's true passion has always been vocal performance. She has performed as a soloist throughout the Southwest and New York City. Singing both soprano and alto, Paula brings her talent to the girl trio The Sea Cups, the quartet The Mistletone Carolers, and Party of 4.

She and her husband Tom Bloomer live in Southern California and are expecting their first child, a son, in August 2008. Paula currently teaches voice lessons to beginning students.
